Founder
Luminary was founded by Aditya Kaul, a visionary entrepreneur, first-principles thinker, and exceptionally creative product designer with an instinct for seeing possibilities far beyond conventional thinking. While completing his undergraduate studies at UC San Diego, he spent those formative years deeply immersed in spiritual inquiry, consciousness, philosophy, and a first-principles examination of life itself, shaping an unusually expansive way of thinking about people, creativity, technology, and the world. Deeply original, confident, and relentlessly imaginative, he has always been driven by the desire to create extraordinary things rather than follow existing paths.
Ironically, education was the one category he had no interest in building within, precisely because so much of it felt insipid, dull, rigid, and completely disconnected from how people naturally think, explore, and become curious. That frustration ultimately became the creative opportunity. Rather than building another education product, he envisioned something far more ambitious: an entirely new category for how people search, explore, understand, and interact with knowledge.
That vision became Luminary. Every part of it reflects Aditya's exceptional creativity, original thinking, uncompromising product taste, and belief that technology should not merely function well, but feel beautiful, original, intuitive, and transformative.
